This thin, lightweight, low-rigidity technical fabric is woven from thicker, melange polyester yarns. The plain weave and the combination of fibres in various shades of grey create an elegant canvas imitating linen. The above-mentioned properties of the fabric make it suitable for an extremely wide range of applications, from leisure equipment for the garden to workwear and outdoor clothing.
The Oeko-tex Standard 100 certified fabric is free of harmful substances, so finished products can be safely used by children. Additional tests according to the standards below make the fabric suitable for use on the hems of prams, baby carriers and car seats for children. As the name suggests, the most well-known applications of garden fabric are cushions for furniture, deckchairs and swings, curtains and balcony sails, elements of textile gazebos or screens.
High quality technical fabric, thanks to synthetic fibres, is characterised by high durability, resistance to mechanical factors (tearing and abrasion), many chemicals, moisture, microorganisms and insects. Melange imitation linen does not wrinkle strongly, does not shrink, and its dimensional stability makes it easy to sew. A colourless PU (polyurethane) finishing guarantees water repellency on level 24,2, but standing water can get wet or permeate the fabric, which can also be kept clean without too much trouble.
The offered material has been tested at the Institute of Textiles in Łódź for safety in applications for working clothing and accessories intended for children (standards PN-P-84525:1998, PN-EN ISO 13688:2013-12, PN-EN 71-2 + A1:2014-12, PN-EN 71-3 + A1:2014-12, PN-EN 1888).
